Dambazzau expresses optimism on Chibok girls

The Honourable Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdulrahman Dambazau, has expressed confidence that the abducted Chibok girls will be rescued. a lot of time was wasted in the past, but Nigerians should not lose hope on the Chibok girls as the present government is working assiduously to bring the girls home .
The Police and the Civil Defence Corps are also working with the army towards rescuing the girls and providing adequate security to all Nigerians,” Dambazau said. The Minister earlier visited the Federal Fire Service, the Murtala Mohammad International Airport, the Nigeria Prison Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service where he was conducted round the facilities.
The Minister expressed disappointment at the deplorable conditions, especially at the Federal Fire Service and the prisons as he assured that the government will embark on urgent rehabilitation of dilapidated facilities as top notch priority will be given to them. The Minister also paid a courtesy call on the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, in his palace where he sought the cooperation of the Oba in reducing crime in Lagos. Oba Akiolu, an retired police officer, used the occasion to solicit better welfare for the police.
