New Ooni weds Princess Otiti in Benin today

Today, all roads will literally lead to Benin City as His Imperial Majesty Oba, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, ties the proverbial knots with his new bride, Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor, an Architect based in Dubai, UAE.
The much-anticipated event is being attended by first class kings, political juggernauts, business titans and high-octane socialites from near and far.

The young and handsome Oba Ogunwusi has found a new love in a pretty princess, Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor from Benin, Edo State, and today, the new paramount ruler of Ife Kingdom will walk down the aisle with the new queen in a royal way.
The traditional weeding kicks off at noon at the Edo Hotel, Okada Drive, GRA Benin City, Edo State. According to the wedding programme, there will also be a thanksgiving ceremony of the traditional union tomorrow at the Royal Court of Ife, Aafin, Enuwa Square in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The choice of Benin for the first stanza of the wedding is because the new Olori has Benin roots and is also from Ile-Ife.

Before now, friends and family had picked a very unique Aso Ebi for the gig and the impression outside is that they can’t wait to storm the events. Ooni and Wuraola have been on courtship for a while.

The Ooni was said to have been smitten by the simple nature of ravishingly pretty Wuraola, who is a cousin to Jennifer Obayuwana, Polo boss daughter. Jennifer was one of those who first announced the marriage on her Instagram page.

The wedding is considered strategic and imperative as it’s strictly against the tradition for a king to live in the palace without the olori (queen).

Oba Enitan Ogunwusi is a young monarch in his early 40s and stupendously rich. Tradition supports this marriage and there is likelihood of him marrying more as he progresses in his reign. It should be noted that Obas, generally, are not restricted to one wife.
