The presidency has released a list detailing all the achievements of President Buhari in the last one year.
SECURITY:

The Nigeria Police Force says it has arrested five suspects for their role in the Enugu attack by suspected herdsmen which led to the death of about 20 persons in the Ukpabi Nimbo area of the state on April 25, 2016.

Fuel Subsidy, NLC suspends nationwide strike

Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, led by Mr. Ayuba Wabba, yesterday suspended its ongoing nationwide strike to force the Federal Government to reverse the N145 per litre pump price of petrol and resolved to resume negotiation with the government.

Lagos State workers on Wednesday defied the call by the organised labour to embark on a nationwide strike over hike in pump price of petrol.

One of the 219 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram from Chibok in northeast Nigeria more than two years ago has been found. 
Amina Ali was discovered in the Sambisa Forest area of Borno state by civilian vigilantes assisting the military on Tuesday.
Ms Ali, who was 17 when she was abducted, has reportedly had a child while in captivity.
According to a local spokesperson, she is now with her family in her home town of Mbalala, near Chibok.
'She met her parents, who recognised their daughter before she was taken to the military base in Damboa,' Ayuba Alamson Chibok, a community leader in Chibok, said.
'Her father's name is Ali and the girl's name is Amina.'
Yakubu Nkeki, head of the Abducted Chibok Girls Parents' group, also confirmed her name and said she was 17 when she was abducted.
He added: 'She's the daughter of my neighbour... They brought her to my house.'

Fuel Price increase, Nigeria is too broke to subsidize fuel. Buhari had no Choice

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, asserted yesterday at a public book presentation event in Abuja “If there is one person in Nigeria that believes that petroleum prices should not go up by one Naira, it is President Buhari,”.
Explaining the difficult decision announced last week by the federal government, Prof. Osinbajo said the President simply had no other option. Although the President did not want the fuel price to go up, the Vice President said “he is left with no choice. What can we do if we don't have foreign currency, we have to import fuel.”

A Chinese firm undertaking the construction of Nigeria's first standard gauge railway has kicked off capacity building for local railway personnel ahead of the railway's commercial operation.
Xia Lijun, a project manager with China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), said the operational training for more than 100 personnel of the Nigeria Railway Corporation became imperative since it was the first time Nigeria was operating standard gauge.

It emerged yesterday that Mrs Kaur's husband Mohinder Singh Gill, 79, may have wanted a child so they could stake a claim in his late father's £500,000 property.

Global rankings show Nigeria and Afghanistan really are among the world’s most corrupt countries – yet we give them millions of pounds in aid which could actually fuel corruption.
Transparency International, an international non-governmental organisation, ranks war-torn Afghanistan as the third worst country in the world for corruption, only better than North Korea and Somalia, while Nigeria is 32nd from bottom.
