The Presidency have concluded plans to kick start Nigeria’s first social security program as part of an anti-poverty battle plan that will involve monthly payments known as conditional cash transfers
(CCT) to 25m extremely poor households the Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has revealed
This plan will officially be announced in the coming days as one of the ways to mark Buhari’s 100 days in office and will very likely commence by January
The plan also includes providing free meals to primary school children but the CCT comes with an obligation, the recipients must in return participate in in polio vaccination, school enrollment and support other government programs
