Nigeria has the fastest growing economy in the world. Would you believe it?

The Nigerian manufacturing sector is the fastest growing in the world.

After a decade of flat growth, new policies to promote manufacturing have lead to an explosive increase in the last three years.

2. There are more mobile phone users in Nigeria than there are people in Japan.

Nigeria is the largest mobile market in Africa with 127,000,000 subscribers. More than half of them use their phone to access the internet.

3. Nigeria is a natural gas powerhouse, with the largest proven reserves in Africa and the 9th largest in the world.

Natural gas production has been steadily increasing in recent years, powering Nigeria’s impressive industrial growth and providing reliable electricity for consumers.

4. Enough new national highways have been paved in recent years to circle half-way around the Earth.

Just a few years ago, Nigeria had 5,000 km of national highways. Thanks to major new infrastructure investments, that number has increased to 25,000 km today.

5. Nollywood – Nigeria’s film industry – is the second largest in the world – producing more movies than the US and Japan, combined.

Nigeria’s film industry produces more than 50 movies every week! Even more impressive, it employs more than a million people, making it the largest single employer in the country after agriculture.
